MESSAGE RE: QPLs will now be QDSs (Qualification Dataset)

The DoD is in the process of transitioning product qualification information from Qualified Products Lists (QPL) to the new Qualified Products Database (QPD) which is accessible via ASSIST. We recently uploaded QPL 23236-77, which advised users that products qualified to MIL-PRF-23236 are now listed in the QPD. After 1 Aug 07, all new and revised product qualification information will be issued via the QPD; no new or revised QPLs will be issued. Step-By-Step Instructions on How to Obtain a QDS

1. Go to the ASSIST Database
2. Enter your Login information. If you do not currently have access, you must register through ASSIST. You will receive a user name and password within 5 business days.
3. Once you are on the ASSIST Home page
   1. GO TO THE LEFT NAVIGATION MENU AND CLICK ON QPD
   2. This will bring you to the QPD screen, hit the SEARCH button
   3. Enter the document # you wish to search (example) 23236 and hit enter
   4. The link to the Military specification will appear, click on it and it will display all the QDSs that are related to MIL-PRF-23236.
